COVID-19 Update
Welcome Showing Assist Users and prospective Users. These are very unprecedented and often confusing times, especially when it comes to our industry. In our continued effort to keep you apprised of our services during these times please be sure to check this page frequently as it will contain the most up to date information.
As of May 1st, Gov. Greg Abbott issued an executive order to enact a plan to reopen businesses in Texas. Real Estate is still considered essential and allowed to continue as part of that plan. The local ordinance enacted on April 13th by the City of Austin and Travis county requiring that the public wear fabric face coverings when conducting essential work or activities has been extended through August 15th. This includes any showing activity.
The Austin Board of REALTORS® has released a COVID-19 resource page complete with recommendations and guidelines when conducting business. We urge all of our users to review the resources on this page. With that being said, many brokerages, agents and sellers may have strict rules or restrictions in place to show a property. Please carefully read any MLS instructions for showings to ensure you are abiding by those additional rules set up by the listing side. We ask that any Hiring Agents take extra time in explaining any specific rules to your clients prior to them going to the showing. We also ask our Showing Agents to take any precautions during this time to help protect themselves, other's clients, the sellers, and their families.
As the situation continues to unfold we are seeing changes happen near daily. We will do our best to keep you informed as to the level of our services being offered during these times. Please abide by your local, state, and federal recommendations for keeping everyone safe. We love you and want everyone to stay healthy out there!
